Barcelona enters the race for the super star of Dortmund

La Liga stalwarts Barcelona are gearing to add another star to their stellar list of footballers as they ponder a move for Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus.
The 24-year-old German international is thought to be courted by English giants Manchester United, but according to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, it appears Barcelona have decided to join the Reus fans club.
And it’s hard to blame them. Indeed, Reus has been in brilliant form this season for Der BVB, scoring nine goals and notching nine assists in his 22 appearances in the German Bundesliga so far this season. Such a blistering talent can certainly add something to any team.
But some higher-ups inside the Camp Nou are thought to be wary of making a move on Reus particularly because of his seeming predilection to injury. Nevertheless, Barcelona believes Reus has what it takes to make a commanding presence in their slowly but surely ageing midfield and is prepared to splash the cash to make sure the deal will be sealed.
Reus joined Dortmund in 2012 from fellow German side Borussia Monchengladbach back in 2012 and has been a revelation at the Signal Iduna Park ever since, wowing the crowd with his dazzling footwork and expert passing.
Reus’ contract with Dortmund is set to last until 2017.
